Search for gunman continues

A gunman who threatened passengers in a car outside a restaurant in Hafnarfjörður Friday night remains to be found.

Two men were arrested in Reykjavik yesterday but after interrigations police concluded that they were not involved in the case. Two other men had been arrested Friday night but were both let go after giving their statements. One had been suspected of being the gunman but he turned out to be innocent of that charge, police say.

Witnesses say that the man stepped out of his own vehicle, walked over to the car and threatened the passengers with a gun. Police suspect the event was some sort of a showdown as the people involved have appartently quarrelled before. The alleged victims have not come forward to give police their side of events.
